Lindsay M. Wanko is a passionate educator and advocate for individuals with disabilities. A lifetime member of the Russian Brotherhood Organization (RBO), she has served as Lodge Secretary and has actively participated in multiple RBO conventions.
Lindsay earned her Master’s in Teaching from The College of New Jersey in 2011 and has since devoted her career to special education. She spent nine years as a Teacher of the Deaf before transitioning to her current role as a Teacher of Students with Multiple Disabilities in a self-contained classroom.
Beyond the classroom, Lindsay has organized impactful fundraisers, including the annual district-wide Autism Acceptance Bubble Parade, benefiting cutting edge research through the Eagles Autism Foundation. She also led Deaf Awareness Week; an initiative to educate teachers and students about deafness.
Outside of her professional commitments, Lindsay cherishes time with her family, her daughter Andie and son Beckett. Lindsay enjoys sailing on cruises, hiking with her two dogs, and painting.
