Harrison is a lifelong RBO member; he was elected an auditor at the 2018 Supreme Council meeting and re-elected at the 2022 meeting. A grateful recipient of numerous scholarships from the RBO, he has completed a Ph.D. in musicology at Duke University and currently serves as professor of liturgical music at St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. Harrison holds a B.A. in Music from Swarthmore College, an M. Div. from St. Vladimir’s Seminary, and a Ph.D. in musicology from Duke University. He was ordained to the holy diaconate by His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon of the Orthodox Church of America in May 2023. He lives in New York with his wife, Gabrielle, and son, Simon.
